BN 111 LOADOUT
2.05.3 (7) COAL HANDLING STRUCTURES & FACILITIES
All items described and numbered below correspond to the locations
shown on Map No. 2.
Item 1 - Truck dump hopper
A 25-ton capacity steel hopper will receive the coal from the
unloading trucks. The hopper will be partially buried and the
trucks will have access to the hopper from earthen ramps con-
structed on both sides. A concrete foundation for the hopper
and feeder of approximately 3 cubic yards will be placed during
construction. Upon mine closing, the hopper will be removed by
small crane and loaded on a truck. All foundation material will
- be removed and hauled away. The total estimated cost of the
removal is $3,000.
Item 2 - Feeder
A mechanical vibratory feeder will transfer the coal from the
hopper to a 36-inch conveyor at a rate of approximately 300 tons
per hour. The feeder will be dismantled and removed upon mine
closing. The estimated cost of the removal is $500.00.
Item 3 - 36-inch Conveyor
A 36-inch conveyor on a rigid steel member structure will be
installed to load the railroad cars. The conveyor will be in-
stalled in an excavated area protected by retaining walls on
both sides. Controls will be provided to prevent any coal
spillage while loading railroad cars. When the mine closes,
the structure and conveyor will be .dismantled and hauled away
by truck. Approximately 2 cubic yards of concrete foundation
and all retaining walls will be removed and transported off-
site to be disposed of. The estimated cost of removal is $2,800.
Item 4 - Storage Shed
A 10 ft. x 10 ft. storage shed will be erected to store oil,
• grease and other supplies. It will be made of pre-fabricated
aluminum and will be removed in one piece upon mine closing.
An earthen berm will surround this building in order to provide
~ containment of any spills. The estimated cost of the removal
is $150. ;
•
658
