• access. The revegetation along the sides of the fords to be created will be
minor. The revegetation mix to be used along the road sides will be for Big
Sagebrush Shrubland. The revegetation should not be effected by limited
livestock grazing which will occur mainly during the winter and spring.
3.7 PREVENTION OF PUBLIC HAZARDS
In conformance with 30 CFR 1711-2, MSHA approved concrete foam was used
to seal the four drift openings during 1992. The drift openings were filled with
incombustible material for a distance of at Least 25 feet into such openings during 2000.
3.8 RECLAMATION SCHEDULE AND COSTS
Reclamation will be initiated when the decision to not mine the resource is made.
The affected areas are crowded into a small space making reclamation prior to
abandonment impossible. Revegetation should be complete within a year and a half
following initiation.
Detailed reclamation cost estimates are prepared by the DMG. The estimates
indicate that the total cost of the project will be about $175,596 plus $41,919 for the
reclamation cost of the coal mine waste bank for a total reclamation cost estimate of
$217,515.
