•
Little Bluestem at 2 lbs./acre, Arizona Fescue at %z Ib./acre, Slender Wheatgrass
at 1 %z lbs./acre, Mountain Muhly at %: Ib./acre, Blue Grama at % Ib./acre, Sheep
Fescue at %z Ib./acre and Rye at 1 lb./acre a[ a rate of 6.5 lbs./acre (double the rate
for seed drilling). The area will be broadcast seeded. Therefore, the application
rate will be twice the rate required for seed drilling.
iv) The seed will be broadcast with a hand seeder and, if the seedbed is not
sufficiently roughened from the replacement of the soil, the seed will be raked.
v) No mulch should be needed in this relatively level, well-protected area. The
methods of weed control employed for the various noxious weed species, and the
timing of such controls will be those set forth in the attached "Cooperative
Extension Service" recommendations for noxious weeds common to the area
including Spotted and Diffuse Knapweed, Dalmation Toadflax, Canada Thistle
and Musk Thistle. Such weed control measures will allow the grasses an
opportunity to become established.
vi) The affected area does not presently contain any shrubs and/or trees, and none are
anticipated [o be established.
d) There are no ponds or streams in the area to be reclaimed. All existing roads and
buildings will remain after reclamation as the quarrying operation should have no impact
on these items. Although the mechanic's shop building will not be used in the quarry
operation, Perdue does not intend to leave that building in place after quarrying is
complete, and it is anticipated that said building will not remain after reclamation.
e)

Not applicable.
Estimated cost to reclaim 1 acre, which is the maximum area to be reclaimed at any one
time:
Backfill and grading $ 200.00
Topsoil replacement 100.00
Hand seeding 300.00
Mobilization 750.00
Indirect costs 250.00
Total Estimated Reclamation Cost $1,600.00
