RANDY PERDUE CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL LIMITED IMPACT
(110) OPERATION RECLAMATION PERMIT APPLICATION
EXHIBIT D -RECLAMATION PLAN
a) As each approximate I acre strip of quarried area is completed, that area will be
reclaimed during the opening of the next strip to be quamed adjacent thereto. The
estimated volume of material for reclamation purposes is approximately 27,000 yd'.
Please note that this is a volume of material that will be used [o reclaim the previous pit
upon opening a new one, and not to reclaim the entire quarry sight. Each new pit should
produce 27,000 yd' of overburden [hat will be immediately used to reclaim the previous
pit. The push distance for overburden and topsoil is approximately 20 ft.
b) The affected area is fairly level; therefore, the Operator/Applicant does not anticipate that
the maximum gradient of the reclaimed slopes will exceed 3:1 (horizontal vertical). It is
anticipated that the process of reclamation will be to backfill the quarried area.
I~'ft-t~iNtN(r

~~ 9

x
c) Revegetation of site:
f ~'T- ~ t W I ~1G.-
i) The Operator/Applicant intends to move the soil from the next strip to be quarried
onto the strip being reclaimed in order to maximize the use of live native seed. It
is estimated that the entire approximate 36" to 60" of soil will be reclaimed.
ii) All necessary seeding, in addition to the live native seed, will take place during
the spring season to maximize seed germination. To the extent additional soil
preparation is required after the soil is moved from the current strip to be quarried
to the strip to be reclaimed, the soil will be disced or raked. The seeding will be
accomplished in accordance with the weather, preferably early enough in the
season for sufficient moisture. The soil composition is sufficiently rich to make
fertilizer application unnecessary.
iii) In addition, the reclaimed area will be seeded with a pure live seed mixture of
Sloes wli II t~F ~,t'cctol 3: I
