RANDY PERDUE CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL LIMITED IMPACT
(110) OPERATION RECLAMATION PERMIT APPLICATION
EXHIBIT B -SITE DESCRIPTION
Please note: The acreage description on the Permit Application is incorrect. The Maps
clearly show that the actual acreage of the quarry site is approximately 9.7 acres. In light
of that error, and because these Exhibits have been amended, Perdue will place a copy of
these Exhibits with the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder's Office for public review.
(a) The native plant community in the pernrit area is approximately 80 - 90 % grasses, I 0 -
15% forbs and 2 - 5 % shrubs. Three major bunch grasses dominate the plant
community; mountain muhly, Arizona fescue and Pary oatgrass. Certain noxious weeds
including Dalmation Toadflax, Diffuse Snapweed, Canada Thistle and Musk Thistle are
common to the area. The permit area also contains a good cover of Ponderosa pines. The
permit site is situated on upland ridges, valley slopes and terraces with slopes of 0% -
25%. The soils are Pinata and Rock. The Pinata soil is well drained and moderately
deep. The subsoil is stony clay. Bedrock occurs at approximately 36 - 48 inches.
Permeability is slow and available water is moderate.
(b) There are no permanent man-made structures within two hundred (200) feet of the
affected area other than an existing driveway as depicted on Exhibit E-Map.
Additionally, there are no above and below ground utilities within two hundred (200) feet
of the affected area.
(c) There are no water resources in the affected area or surrounding property.
(d) A wildlife statement is not required for Limited Impact Operations.
