2,500 feet leading to the settling pond will be reclaimed once mining activities cease, unless approved otherwise by
the Division.
Shoa/Maintenance Area/Warehouse Access Road
TCC upgraded the access road into the Preventative Maintenance Bay as per the recommendation presented in the
report dated October 9, 1995, prepazed by Northwest Colorado Consultants, Inc. The access road certification is
contained in TCC's road certification file. This pazticulaz certification is dated May 30, 1996.
Truck DeGverv Access Road
In order for supplies and materials to reach the storage building, an access road has been designated. This road will
be located on the east side of the coal stockpile. Drainage from the road will be controlled by the existing
sedimentation control system. Flow will be conveyed by Ditch D-2 and Ditch D-5. The access road will be
constructed to meet the requirements of Rule 4.03.2.
Pond A Access Road
This road was formerly a portion of Haulroad C utilized by CYCC. As such, TCC contracted with Northwest
Colorado Consultants to evaluate the road for its continued use as an access road into Pond A. The evaluation
indicated that an additional 4 inches of Class VI base course and 6 inches of pit run gravel should be applied in lifts
and compacted as per the requirements of Rule 4.03.2 to make the road suitable for long-term use as an access road.
The location of the road is shown on Map 24A.
Rock Dust Tank. Scale, and FCM No.l Access Roads
~ All of these are existing roads and aze monitored to determine if additional surfacing material is needed to maintain
compliance with the applicable regulations.
Batch Weigh/Loadout Building Access Road
A new access road for construction and utilization of the Batch Weigh/Loadout building will be established east of
the Tipple 2 product pile site and north of the existing overland conveyor (see Map 24). The access road will be
designed and constructed in accordance with the design requirements of Rule 4.03.2. The access road will roughly
parallel the overland conveyor for a distance of approximately 390 feet east of the existing Tipple 2 loadout
stockpile and terminate at a point south of the location of the Batch Weigh/Loadout building. Following
construction, sediment control for the new access road azea will be provided by the existing rock filters and
vegetative filers currently established for the azea.
Approximately 1,500 cubic yazds of excess fill will be generated from the excavation work required to establish the
access road. The material generated will be utilized as permanent fill in the relocation of County Road 27, as
detailed in TR-19. TCC will replace an equivalent volume of material at the access road site during final
reclamation. The replacement material will consist of spoil obtained during regrading operations in the azea south
of the existing portals and associated facilities at the Foidel Creek Mine. The volume of replacement material
potentially required (maximum 1,500 cubic yazds) will have no discernible impact on the final regrade
configuration proposed for the source azea described. '
Topsoil from the access road route will be removed and stockpiled in accordance with Rule 4.06. Approximately
770 cubic yards of topsoil will be added to existing topsoil site SF-6 (refer to Map No. 29).
iR 05-46 2.05-72 Revised -March 2005
