There will be no flow through the emergency spillway <br />inlet as a result of the .runoff from a 10-year, 24-hour precipitation <br />event or less. See Figure 1 for explanation of above. <br />Pored 008 is designed to safely pass the runoff from the 100-year, 24-hour <br />precipitation event without overtopping the dam. The top of the dam <br />elevation (7019.1} is 1.7 feet above the peak stage elevation of 7017.4. <br />CONSTRUCTION PLAN <br />rs3= <br />Site Work Prior to Embankment Construction <br />The embankment construction area v.~as dewatered as much as practicable to <br />allow heavy equipment to operate in the area. To accomplish this, a <br />dewatering trench or trenches was excavated with a small backhoe. A pump <br />was set ir, the trench to lower the local water table. Peabody received a <br />Construction Gewatering Wastewater Discharge Permit from the Colorado <br />Department of Health. This permit allowed Peabody to discharge this water <br />away from the construction activities while maintaining water quality. <br />7-6f.1-8 <br />
