6.5 Revegetation. <br />(1) The proposed SCS recommended seed mix for revegetation has been shown to establish a diverse, <br />effective and long-lasting vegetative cover for similaz operations in this area. <br />(2) Forest planting is not the landowners' choice of reclamation. Rangeland has been chosen to be <br />consistent with the subject and adjacent properties. <br />(3) The owners' choice of reclamation is rangeland as stated above. Slopes will be commensurate <br />with this use. The backslopes will not be too steep to be traversed by livestock. The reclaimed azea <br />will be re-seeded by using an acceptable grass drill, or seed will be broadcast,. <br />(4) After reviewing all the physical and environmental factors that can affect successful re-vegetation, <br />the plan proposed by the applicant provides for the greatest probability of success. Grazing will be <br />restricted from reclaimed azeas until release has been secured from the Boazd. <br />(5).To insure the establishment of a diverse and long-lasting vegetative cover,~the pit floor and . . <br />backslopes will be scarified before topsoiling. No imgation or supplemental water is p"roposed or <br />available. <br />(6) Weeds will be controlled by mowing or application of 2-4-D as necessary. <br />(7) No fire lanes aze proposed or necessary. <br />(8) There is no delay in planting required or proposed for reclamation. There are no azeas for delayed <br />planting such as those described in (a) (b) (c) (d) and (e). <br />(9) There are no known adverse characteristics of the surface which would seriously inhibit plant <br />growth. <br />6.6 Buildings and structures. <br />There aze no buildings or structures presently on site and none are proposed. Neither aze there any <br />buildings or structures other than fences, roads and power lines within 200' of the affected azea <br />boundaries or the entire permit area. <br />6.7 Signs and markers. <br />The applicant commits to placing the required sign at the access road and marking the permit <br />boundazies. <br />
