{b) Eartbmoving <br />As stated in (a) above, earthmoving is proposed to be done primarily with dozers and/or front-end <br />loaders. If the terrain and material should allow, it is possible that scrapers could be used for part of <br />the earthmoving. <br />(c) Water Diversion and Impoundments <br />This will be a dry pit operation with no effect on the hydrology or water rights of the area. The <br />applicant will secure a Stormwater Dischazge Permit and prepaze a Stormwater Management Plan <br />(SWMP) as required by the Water quality Control Division (WQCD), Colorado Department of <br />Health, based on the requirements of the Federal NPDES Program. <br />(d) Size of area to be worked at any one time and associated disturbance classifications. <br />The applicant proposes to operate this pit on a Floating Bond program as described eazlier. As <br />. : ~ ...indicated on~the Mining Plan and Timetable Map in Exhibit •G; 4 sepazate phases aze~proposed for this + + <br />operation. <br />Phase 1 -State Lease -contains 7.3 acres and 6.0 acres will be affected. <br />Phase 2 - BLM Lease -contains 49.40 A with a maximum 12.7 A being affected at any one time. <br />Phase 3 -Patton Lease -contains 65.30 A and will have a maximum of 14 A being affected at any <br />one time. <br />Phase 4 - cohtains 9.0 A and will be the final p'.iase of this project. Ii is possible that the entire 9.0 <br />A will be operated as a unit. <br />Disturbance areas are proposed as follows: Maximum disturbance will not exceed 20A <br />{i) Major Disturbance: 5 - 11 A, will include excavations, overburden and topsoil stockpiles and <br />backfilling of any open cut. <br />(ii) Moderate Disturbance: 3 - 5 A will include the leveling of overburden and the smooth grading <br />and distribution of topsoil. There will be no: <br />1. Stabilization of waste dumps <br />2. Railroads <br />3. Evaporation or settling ponds <br />4. Leaching dumps <br />5. Waste storage or dischazge azea <br />6. Structures of any kind on site <br />
