There <br />shall be no stockpiling of materials, nor storage of any equipment, <br />mac},inery or vehicles on t},e site, except for t}, front-end loader <br />during the actual mining operation. T},ere is to ben crushing, proces- <br />sing or stockpiling of any materials on the site. Access shall be <br />limited to solely off U. S. Hwy. 550. Hauling of aterials from the <br />site is to be limited to no more than five truck trip per day, and tl.e <br />tnicks are to have no more than ten to twelve yards }, uling capacity. <br />3. Environmental Impacts: Noise: Given the roximity of resi- <br />dences in tt,e vicinity, vehicle and equipment operati ns may be audible <br />to persons in the immediate area. In order to m tigate such noise <br />impacts, t•}.e operator should be required to },ave 11 equipment and <br />velicles on the site mufflered at all times. The ours of operation <br />would be confined to daylight and in no case earlier l,an 7:30 a.m. nor <br />later than 6:30 p.m. Nonday throug}, Saturday. re should be no <br />cnisl,ing or other processing of materials conducted n the site at any <br />time. All },auling and equipment movement should b confined to the <br />mining area and t},e },aul road accessing U. S. Hwy. 55 . <br />Dust: Given the site's proximity to resi ences in t}.e vi- <br />cinity, any haul road to the site from U. S. Hwy. 550 should be graveled <br />to control dust. The operator should use appropri to techniques and <br />materials to control any dust which may be generated by the extraction <br />and loading operation, so as to prevent any detectabl levels of dust or <br />particulates from leaving tl,e site. <br />Odor: There should be no apparent significant adverse odors <br />associated with the proposed operation. <br />water: The proposed operation is to be Gated within the <br />floodplain and floodway of the Animas River. Accordi gly, there should <br />be no operation below t},e water line of the Animas Ri er. T},ere should <br />be no operations w},en the Animas River is at 1,igh Ovate or when there is <br />any flood danger present. Any equipment or machine present at the <br />site should be promptly removed during },igh water or w},en flood danger <br />is present. There should not be any encroac}unents, ills, structures, <br />or substantial improvements within tl,e floodway whic, would require a <br />tec},nical review under the county's floodplain ordinan,e. <br />4. Impacts on Land Valacs: Conflicting evide~ce and testimony <br />},ave been received concerning t}.e impact of extract ng operations on <br />property values within the Animas River Valley.
