• 2.05.3
existing Steven's Gulch well field along an existing jeep trail to the West Mine. A 200,000 gallon
water tank of conventional welded steel plate type construction on a reinforced concrete
foundation was constructed approximately 1,200 feet north of the mine site. Refer to the drawing
entitled "Proposed Water Pipeline" in the Mine Facilities Appendix, Volume 8A and a drawing
entitled "Structures" found in the Environmental Resources Appendices, Volume 9, for more
detailed location and construction information.
A steel chute approximately 9 feet wide at the widest point was constructed above the
underground conveyor belt between the 2,000 ton surge bin and the rotary crusher at the East
Mine. Oversized coal will be dumped into the chute from end dump trucks and fed onto the
conveyor belt. The coal may be temporarily stockpiled within a 50' by 30' maximum area of the
parking lot east of the chute and loaded into the chute with front-end loaders. The coal will be
processed in the rotary crusher as described in Section 2.05.3(3)(b). A detailed narrative and
maps describing the location, construction, use, and maintenance of mine facilities at the East
Ivfine can be found in Section 2.05.3(3)(b). As stated in that section, some maps are stored at East
Mine for inspection by the Division.
A detailed narrative and maps describing removal of East Mine facilities can be found in Section
2.05.4.
•
C~
J
TR-32 - l8 - 9/99
2/ S/0 ~
