Location of Area Surface and Subsurface Features <br />The location of the Hawk's Nest Mine permit area in Western Colorado <br />was shown in Figure II.A-1. Surface and subsurface features, as well as <br />property ownership and mining leases, within the WSC permit area and within <br />two miles outside this area are shown on Figure III.A-1. Wells, drill holes <br />and mines are located in addition to roads, surface water and springs. <br />Figure III.A-1 derives from the US GS Somerset and Paonia Reservoirs quad- <br />rangles. Table III.A-1 lists all water wells, petroleum wells, mining drill <br />holes, mines and excavations located on Figure III.A-1, An additional map <br />of only the permit area is in Appendix D. <br />• The boundaries of the permit area as shown on Figure III.A-1 lie within <br />Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11 and 12 of T.135., R.90W.
