'_
Isadore Million -2- February 10, 1995
2. Exhibit D
a. To better understand your proposed phased mining plan please explain
where you intend to stockpile the topsoil during each phase.
b. Describe and discuss the setback area and provide the amount of
acreage that will not be disturbed.
c. Need a more detailed description of the proposed mining plan. Of
particular interest is the access road. If you begin mining in the
northwest corner of the permit area you will have to maintain an access
road through several phased one acre tracts as you work your way to
the souWwest corner. This road would be considered a major
disturbance for bond determination.
d. Will the water seepage pond be filled with water after, or during,
mining operations?
e. Will irrigation overflow be directed to the water seepage pond during
mining and rechunation operations?
f. How do you intend to delineate the areas defined as major-moderate-
minor disturbance.
g. Need a narrative describing the depth of the sand deposit and the nature
of the stratum beneath the sand deposit.
3. Exhibit E
a. How will topsoil be redeposited on the disturbed area?
b. What thickness of topsoil will be replaced?
c. When will the pit highwalls be graded to 4:1?
d. Need a narrative why rangeland was chosen for post-mining land use.
e. Need a narrative comparing the elected post-mining land use to other
land uses in the area.
