Phase II:
This phase will be completed when the pond area has been excavated
approximately September 2003. At this time, the slopes will be finished to a 2.5:1
slope using a Cat 160H Motor Grader and a D-9 Dozer. Following the finishing
we will seeded and mulch as per permit specifications.
SPECIALS
1. FULTON DITCH
Ground Engineering is contacting the ditch company's engineer concerning the
work on the West Side of the pond. It is our intent to complete the majority of the
work in this azea when the ditch is not active. With no water flowing, we can
eliminate any potential damage to the integrity of the Fulton ditch.
2. DEWATERING
We plan to lower the water table as needed prior to January 1, 2003. This should
minimize the impact on the local shallow wells and by building the liner to +5022
ft. elevation; the wells should restore quickly.
3. SLOPE MAINTENANCE
We agree that the best way to establish the toe of the slope is to determine the
prescribed distance from the property line and not work beyond this point except to
develop slope. The fact that we will slowly lower the water table should greatly
reduce the amount caving due to infiltration of ground water. We will also grade
check regulazly to ensure slope maintenance is under control.
