Toxicity Incident Closure (Oucfalls 002, 011 and O.L2) <br />If WET is eontzolled through implementation of numeric limits far <br />specific torieants, through a control program eliminating tozieants <br />.frog Che waste stream, or through the implementation of treatment <br />processes, or if WET disapoears and Division required accelerated <br />~- testing demonstrate the continued absence of toxicity, the toziciCy <br />r incident shall be considered closed. <br />\ • ~ .If Che permictee completes all required phases of the toxicity incident <br />response specified in campliarce schedules, and Ss unable either to <br />identify the causative tozieants and their sources or to identify <br />feasible treatment options, the permitcee may petition the Division for <br />relief from.furcher Snvestigatlon and testing, consistent with the <br />permit regulacioas. <br />10. rte uencv and Sample T oe - Chroaic Gc'_ Testing (Oucfalls 002, 011 and <br />012 <br />Tne monitoring frequency for chronic to xieity tests shall be once every <br />six months on a January - June, July - December sequence, and cannot <br />coinel3e with acute testing. The first such test must be eompieted and <br />resorted on the *June/December* DlLt due *July 28/January*. Chroaic <br />tests will be static replacement tests using three composite effluent <br />samples, each of vhieh is to be eomposiced fora minimum of eight <br />• hours. Chronic testing will be conducted with both Ceriodaphnia sp. <br />and fathead minnows during the first year. During years two and three, <br />if requested Sn wziting by Che permitcee, the Divsion may grant relief <br />from continued two species testing. Such relief shall be for continued <br />testing vi[h only that species which has demonstrated the greatest <br />sensitivity during the First year of testing. The results shall be <br />submitted an Che Chronic Toxicity Test resort form, available from Che <br />Division. Copies of these reports are to be submitted co both Che <br /><~ Division and EPA. <br />
