R-13
EXHIBIT E -Reclamation Plan (6.4.5) (Revised 10-27-05)
(2)
(a) It is the intent of the owner/operator to reclaim the affected area to
meet the criteria of a proposed post-mining residential development. It
is not yet known the extent of mining related activity within the
"Possible Affected Area" as shown on Exhibit F. A conveyance corridor
and/ or a haul road may be necessary across this area to move mined
material from Phase E to the aggregate plant location. It is likely the
permanent roadway proposed and shown on Exhibit F will provides for
this corridor. As mentioned in Exhibit D, mining will be sequential n
nature with no more than twenty acres being mined at one time. Thus,
reclamation throughout all phases will be performed in the same
manner. Reclamation efforts will vary between the mining phases and
are discussed as follows:
Phases A, B, C, and D -The type of reclamation proposed for
these phases is to replace the mined area with 1' - 2' of
overburden and 6" - 8" of available topsoil. The post-mining slope
along the eastern mining limits will be graded to no less than a 3:1
slope ratio. The method proposed to replace overburden and
topsoil will involve slot dozing the respective material from atop the
eastern and peripheral mining boundaries. The area will then tie
graded to meet the post-mining development requirements. Ttie
total mined area of Phases A, B, C, and D to be reclaimed is
approximately 57 acres.
Phase E -This phase exhibits no topsoil. The area that has been
deforested and currently has sporadic sage growth present. Tlie
type of reclamation proposed here is to replace overburden to a
depth of 1' - 2' utilizing the earthmoving method discussed ab~~ve.
is proposed that the surface of this phase be graded and
s 'sized for future residential development. Methods of
stab tion may involve seeding with dry land grasses an e
spreads of gravel bearing material.
/ '. -
.-
' - \_
`~
6
