x-~
predicted to be 11'. Phase D lies above the stream channel of the Florida
River and is alluvial in nature. This phase appears to have 2 -3' of
overburden and 10 - 15' of sand and gravel. Phase E lies atop the ridge
west of the Florida River valley. There is no perceptible topsoil in this area.
Overburden is expected to range from 3 - 10'. The depth of gravel is
assumed to be 15 - 20'.
(ii) With the exception of Phase D, the strata underlying the gravel deposit
are either shale or mudstone. It is not known with certainty what undE~rlies
the deposit in Phase D.
(g) Primary commodities to be produced include road base materials,
crushed stone and engineered fill materials. Uses for these materials are
roadway and general construction. Secondary products include sand pea
gravel and uncrushed stone of various sizes. These materials will be
marketed for use in landscape and erosion control applications.
(h) The only incidental product expected to be encountered in the mining
operation is crusher fines. Such material may be used in the production of
asphalt materials should~that become feasible in the future. Other usE~s
include general construction and as a clay soil amendment.
(i) No explosives will be used in conjunction with neither mining nor
reclamation operations
