Where ever possible spread az>,y available soil material, <br />manure, or strawy material on slopes that have been flatte;med <br />to 3:1 or leas. A mulch is very important for any seeding <br />success on the hot, dry south an d rest Facing slopes. <br />2. Select native species for enduring plantings. Pure Live Seed per ~.cre. <br />A random transplanting of shrubs would also be good. These could <br />include Four Wing Salt bush, native rabbit brush, mountain maho~ony <br />and possibly some Rocky Mountain Juniper. Forty to fifty shrubs <br />per acre would be ample.
