Fox 1t~a6 <br />Canon City, Colorado 81212 <br />This area consists of about 50 per cent rock outcrop. The soils <br />range from shallow to deep and are on slo9es of about 1$ to 65 p~~r cent <br />with same near vertical cliffs xhere quarrying has been done. <br />- About 20 per cent of the soils are similar to the Kihill series. <br />The nihill soils are deep and well drained. The surface layer is <br />gravelly fine sandy loam about 12 inches thick. The underlying <br />material is very gravelly and cobbly fine sandy loam and extends <br />to a depth of about 5Li inches or more. <br />About 20 per cent of the area consists of soils similar to the <br />llihill soils except they range in depth from less than 20 inches <br />to about !~0 inches. <br />A few small pockets of shallow to moderately deep sandy clay loam <br />soils are also present. <br />Vegetation consists of blue grams, Indian ricegrass, New Mexico <br />Feathergrass, mountain mahogony, rabbit brush, winterfat, and <br />pinyon ~d 3uniper trees. <br />Lynn ~ Lars Soil ientist <br />0 <br />
