~ 119
_~
-~ site: 5RT34 (Fig. 1).
site Type: Open lithic.
Location: SW~;NWL;, Sec. 31, TSn, R86w; UTM Zone 13, E322,SSOm., N4 ,468,250ni.
Aescription: 5RT34 is an open lithic site, consisting of a thin scatter
of flakes exposed in a road cut approximately 180 m. west of 5RT32. The
_ locality is on the north side of an interfluvial ridge between Foidel Creek
and an unnamed drainage. The site is exposed to the north and east and
Covers an area 30 by 40 m. The nearest water source is the unnamed drain-
age which lies 200 m. northeast. Vegetation surrounding the site includes
sagebrush, rabbitbrush, and local grasses. No surface features were observed,
and no portable cultural materials other than flakes were seen in the site
- area. There has been no significant natural disturbance of the site. Cul-
tural disturbance appears to be limited to the road cut.
• Diagnostic Artifacts: None.
evazuation: 5RT34 has no potential for yielding information important to
_. prehistory. We recommend no further action be taken with regard to this
site.

0
