_ Section 780.1 1(bl Continued.
Sedimentation Ponds A, B, D, and E - As described in Sections 780.11, 780.25, and
816.46, Sedimentation Ponds A, 8, D, and E will be retained in conjunction with the
proposed postmining land use as permanent impoundments to provide watering
sources for livestock and wildlife and as a beneficial habitat component relative to
wildlife reestablishment and use.
Existing Water Supply Wells -Kerr currently owns and maintains two water supply
wells and the associated water rights, one in the mine area and one in the loadout
area. These wells will be retained as a water supply source in conjunction with the
proposed postmining land use to provide water for stock watering, limited irrigation,
and other grazing-related uses, as required.
Light-Use Access Road (Loadout Areal - An existing road, which is partially paved and
partially gravel surfaced, was used by Kerr as a haul road to connect the Kerr Loadout
with the nearby County road. Given that future beneficial use of the reclaimed loadout
area is dependent on reasonable access, this road will be retained as a permanent
• access road and will be redesignated as a light-use road. The road is currently
relatively narrow so no modification or narrowing of the road is proposed in
conjunction with the proposed postmining uSe.
Loadout Shop Building -The existing Loadout shop building is relatively small and
would be of value in conjunction with the postmining use as a storage building for
small equipment and supplies, particularly given the distance of the loadout area from
the mine area. As previously noted, a prospective buyer has requested that the
existing shop structures in the loadout area be retained in conjunction with his
proposed future use of the property.
Schedule of Revegetation -Kerr Tipple Area
Upon completion of regrading and topsoil replacement, the area will be prepared for
seeding by chisel plowing and disking. It is anticipated that a temporary mulch crop
will be seeded in the fall following site regrading and soil material replacement. The
permanent seed mixture will be seeded into the standing mulch the following tall.
TR-19 780-74b Revised 11198
