<br />is a clayey material but it has some gravel mixed in and would not be the best seed bed. We <br />will use all the available and suitable material on the site and no overburden or topsoil will be <br />removed from the site. The reclamation costs have been changed to reflect this change. <br />When the reclamation of the haul roads and the processing site take place the azea will be <br />ripped and the topsoil properly mixed in to provide a suitable seed bed. The reclamation costs <br />have been changed to reflect this additional work. <br />6.4.7 Exhibit G -Water Information <br />The Dischazge Ditch from Sand Hill Reservoir is within 200 feet of the excavation and the <br />ditch is unlined. We aze currently working with the owner of the ditch, Northern Colorado <br />Water Conservancy District to reach and agreement regazding the ditch and any potential <br />losses. We will not mine within 200 feet of the ditch unless an agreement is reached. The <br />Meadow Island Ditch No.l does not exist on this property. <br />All the well owners within 600 feet of the site have been contacted and they have provided <br />information about then wells. The applicant will agree to protect these wells from damage if it <br />is caused by the mining operation. Monitoring wells aze in place on the perimeter of the site tc <br />monitor ground water levels. <br />We have enclosed a commitment to all required permits from the Office of the State Engineer <br />before mining operations stazt on the site. <br />We have attached the calculations for a substitute water supply plan which will be submitted <br />to the Office of the State Engineer for approval. The substitute water supply has not been <br />obtained pending the outcome of the application. <br />We have been advised that we should apply for a dischazge permit closer to the date of the <br />actual dischazge starting. We have enclosed a commitment to have this permit before any <br />dischazge takes place. <br />G.4.] 0 Exhibit J - Veggtapon Information <br />We aze working with the Platte Valley Soil Conservation District and Mr. Ron Broda of the <br />Weld County Depaztment of Public Works to identify the noxious weeds and prepaze a weed <br />control plan for the site. Due to the holidays and some schedule problems on our part we <br />have not completed this plan. Northern Colorado Constructors will continue to work toward <br />the plan and implement such a plan as provided with the help of the agencies mentioned. We <br />will forward this plan to the Division as soon as it is complete. <br />Attached is a letter from Mr. Timothy T. Cazey ,Chief, Denver Regulatory Office of the <br />Depaztment of the Army stating that there aze no permits or other authorization required by <br />the Depaztment of the Army for this site. <br />As stated we will produce and provide a weed control plan with the proper agencies and will <br />exercise this plan on the site. <br />
