Our file 1177-424. <br />I }rave listed below several points in your recent permit application which <br />require clarification or additional information. 1'he additional information <br />should be fonaarded to this office as soon as possible. <br />1. Legal llescriptio..: <br />The legal description should be to the nearest 't 't section and should <br />include all affected lands. As indicated at our meeting, the current <br />legal description is not correct. <br />2. ~lininy, Ylan: <br />a. 1'he mine plan should adequately describe the method of mining <br />utilized at Logan Wash. <br />b. Each area of surface disturbance should be clearly described in <br />the mine plan and cross-referenced to Exhibit C. <br />c. As I indicated at our meeting all portals, waste dumps, processing <br />areas, parking areas and roads will be considered affected land. <br />This would include the parking-eating area and access road. <br />d. 'lhe timetable of operations should encompass the expected life of <br />the mine, including the anticipated abandonment date. <br />e. The size and depth of the retorts should be specified in relation <br />to the two aquifers in the area. If you have ongoing studies <br />concerning the effect of the underground retorts on water quality <br />in the aquifers, [his should be presented. <br />
