I }rave listed below several points in your recent permit application which
require clarification or additional information. 1'he additional information
should be fonaarded to this office as soon as possible.
1. Legal llescriptio..:
The legal description should be to the nearest 't 't section and should
include all affected lands. As indicated at our meeting, the current
legal description is not correct.
2. ~lininy, Ylan:
a. 1'he mine plan should adequately describe the method of mining
utilized at Logan Wash.
b. Each area of surface disturbance should be clearly described in
the mine plan and cross-referenced to Exhibit C.
c. As I indicated at our meeting all portals, waste dumps, processing
areas, parking areas and roads will be considered affected land.
This would include the parking-eating area and access road.
d. 'lhe timetable of operations should encompass the expected life of
the mine, including the anticipated abandonment date.
e. The size and depth of the retorts should be specified in relation
to the two aquifers in the area. If you have ongoing studies
concerning the effect of the underground retorts on water quality
in the aquifers, [his should be presented.
