The area to be mined will first be cleared of topsoil as
mentioned before leaving a generally flat pit bottom. All
processing and stockpile activity will be in this area. Mining
will commence in the Southwest corner of the site and proceed
generally Northeast.
As sections of the site are depleted of gravel, that protion
will be reclaimed using stockpiled topsoil. High walls well be
sloped to 9 to 1 and covered with topsoil. Reseeding in native
and introduced species will complete the reclamation.
Dust control water is used on the site only when conditions
require such control. No water utilized for dust control is dis-
charged from the site. During storm periods, no dust control
water is applied and is not availabe for runoff.
Observation of stormwater on April 3 and 4, 1996 indicated
no run off from site.
A map of the site is attached as part of the stormwater
Management Plan.
Mr. Bob Sutherland will be responsible for the stormwater
Management Plan, implementation of the plan and ongoing
maintenance and revision of the stormwater Management Plan.
