You are to be commended for the thorough, clear and concise <br />application package. However, the application cannot be approved until the following few issues are <br />adequately addressed. Please submit a response to the following issues as soon as possible, but no later <br />than March 16, 2006 so the decision due date set for March 22, 2006 can be met. If your response, or a <br />written request for extension of the decision date, are not received by March 16, 2006 this application may <br />be denied. <br />AOEQUACYISSUES <br />1. Please submit documentation of publication and mailing of public notices as required by Rule <br />1.6.2(1)(d), (e), and (gl. <br />Exhibit D -Mine Plan <br />2. Please commit to a topsoil stockpile configuration that has slopes no steeper than 3H:1 V if <br />adequate space is available for this configuration and provide an estimate of the volume of the <br />stockpile. <br />Please submit anticipated specifications for spill containment structure construction and location for <br />any hazardous material to be stored on site. <br />4. Please specify if explosives will be used in the mining or reclamation operations. <br />5. Please revise the mining plan and map to show and detail any stormwater control structures <br />proposed to treat and regulate stormwater discharge from this site and demonstrate that any <br />treatment facilities are adequately sized to safely pass the 10 year 24 hour storm event. <br />Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan <br />6.
