I have structwed [his letter to correspond with your questions as outlined in <br />your review. <br />Thank you for striking through "Conversion" and then checking "New Application". We <br />understand that the existing 111 permit can not be transferred to a 110 permit. <br />The corzect legal description of the property should read the SE'/,SE'/< of Section 35 and the <br />S W % SW'/< of Section 36, Township 46 North, Range 4 West of the 10'~ P.M., Gunnison, <br />County, Colorado. <br />The Soil Conservation Service has mapped the soil type for the mining operation. The majority <br />of the site is classified as the Bosler Series (Bosler Sandy Loam) which consists of deep well <br />drained terraces and alluvial fans that aze comprised of mixed alluvium, sand and gravel. These <br />terraces aze normally 30 to 60 feet above streams. Runoff is slow (high to moderate <br />permeability) and erosion hazazd is slight. Current vegetation on the site is spazse. There aze <br />many places on the site that have no topsoil or overburden. <br />Additional structures within 200 feet of the mining operation have been added to the mining <br />map. These structures have also been added to the list of structures within 200 feet of the mining <br />operation. Topsoil and overburden will be stockpiled separately. The stockpiles are currently <br />located in the southwest portion of the mining azea. Stockpiles will be seeded to grass and kept . <br />free of noxious weeds if they remain on the site for more than two years. <br />A gravel processing area will operate internal to the site and will relocate within the permit <br />boundary as needed.
