-2-
•
Eckman Park Area from Foidel Creek. A sedimentation dam is planned
near the confluence of two drainages on the south flank of Pinnacle
Peak and at the point where surface drainage from the Eckman Park Area
will discharge into a lower drainage basin. The proposed Haul Road 'D'
will be constructed after the sedimentation dam and will be located im-
mediately downstream of the sedimentation structure. Haul Road 'E' will
be located along the east side of the proposed extension of the mine
and will serve both the existing mine and the proposed future extension.
Haul Road 'C' is presently used in the existing mine and will be modi-.
fied as necessary to meet compliance with the current Federal and State
regulations.
The final alignment and grades for the proposed haul roads were not
• set at the time of this investigation. We anticipate cuts as high as 40
feet and fills ranging up to 60 feet in height. Most of the Haul Road
'D' will be constructed along the ridge line and will involve minimum
cut and fill sections. Significant fills will be required between Sta.
10 and Sta. 20 on Haul Road 'D' in order to achieve desired grades and,
in addition, considerable fill will be required in the vicinity of St a. 80
to Sta. 100 in order to maintain relatively flat grade. Most of Haul
Road 'E' will require cut, with some fairly high fill required between
Sta. 20 and Sta. 30, and in the vicinity of Sta. 50 and Sta. 60.
FIELD INVESTIGATION
This report was prepared in conjunction with investigations conducted
• for proposed spoil disposal areas and an investigation of subsurface
