REPORT
OF A
MINERAL EVALUATION
SCOPE
This report presents the results of a mineral evaluation prepared
fora two hundred fifty-five (255) acre site located west of Windsor,
Colorado. The evaluation was carried out by means of test borings, en-
gineering evaluation, and preparation of this report.
The objectives of this evaluation were to (1) determine the depth
of overburden and thickness of sand, gravel, and cobbles encountered at
the site and (2) determine the approximate quantities of overburden and
sand, gravel, and cobbles encountered.
SITE EXPLORATION
• The field exploration, carried out on February 27, and March 2,
1981, consisted of drilling, logging, and sampling seventeen (17) test
borings. The locations of the test borings are shown on the Test Boring
Location Plan included in Appendix A of this report. Boring logs prepared
from the field logs are shown in Appendix A. These logs show soils
encountered, location of sampling, and groundwater at the time of the
investigation.
All borings were advanced with a four-inch diameter, continuous-
type, power-flight auger drill. During the drilling operations, a geo-
technical engineer from Empire Laboratories, Inc. was present and made a
continuous visual inspection of the soils encountered.
SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION
The proposed site is located along County Road 13 south of Colorado
Highway 392, two (2) miles west of Windsor, Colorado.
