The expected ending date is October I5, 2016..
6.3.3 (b)
The estimated depth to which the soil is suitable as plant growth medium is approximately 12 to 49
inches. There will be enough plant growth medium stored to reclaim the site. Once the pit is
exhausted, there will be a minimum of 12-15 inches cover of plant growth medium placed over the
reclaimed area. The plant growth medium will be free or rocks and gravel. There will be a limited sate
of "top soil".
The pit will be stripped of the available topsoil by loaders. The top soil will be stored in the North
Western corner of the 9.90 acre site as depicted on the Mine Plan Map, Exhibit E until it is needed for
reclamation. This location keeps the topsoil out of the way of mine traffic and waterways.
The stockpiles will be seeded to reduce soil erosion. The operator will keep the topsoil free of any
contaminates, which could cause toxic or acid-forming materials,
6.3.3 (c)
It is estimated that the thickness of the overburden to the deposit to be mined will vary from one foot to
ten feet. The overburden will be stored in the Northern portion of the pit as depicted on Exhibit E.
6.3.3 (d)
The thickness of the deposit to be mined will vary from six feet deep to thirteen feet deep.
6.3.3 (e)
The major components of the mining operation will be an access route to the main mining area as
depicted on Exhibit E. The road will be approximately 15 feet wide. All traveled surfaces will be
graveled. There will be haul roads as determined by the location of the material.
Parking for employee vehicles, deliveries and equipment shall be designated on site in the initial
processing azea adjacent to the access to the mine. There will be approximately 10 standard parking
spaces.
There are no permanent buildings planned for this project at this time. Temporary structures will consist
of portable sanitary facilities and a potential portable office building, if one is required. Portable
crushing equipment will be brought to the site to process the products.
The pit will start in the South Eastern corner of the proposed 110 Permit Area adjacent to the Initial
Processing Area, as depicted on Exhibit E. The applicant proposes mining one acre of gravel at a time
to reduce the amount of disturbance to the site as possible. Once that site is exhausted, mining will
follow the largest gravel deposits acre by acre.
In the South Eastern corner of the proposed 110 Permit Area will be a 1.84 acre Initial Processing Area.
9/18/2006
