<br />~hibit C -Mining Plan <br />A. Dates; <br /> <br />Mining is Planned to start after permit issuance in 1997 and closure date is currently estimated as <br />December 2017. <br />B. Soil Science Data; <br />The soils have been mapped and described by the U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation Service (SCS) in a <br />published soil survey. A site inspection conducted by the Natural Resources Conservation <br />Service (MRCS) on February 5, 1997 confirmed the existing site soils as Ustic Torriorthents (RV, <br />& R3), Rock Outcrop (RU,& RO) and Salorthids (SA) these soil types are more fully described <br />in the NRCS letter in Exhibit B and the tabulated printouts attached to this Exhibit C as well as <br />being shown in the attached SCS, soil survey map. <br />C. Disposition of Overburden; <br />There is 0 to 6 inches of overburden soils on the site. These soils will be stockpiled along the <br />East boundary as shown on Exhibit A, (Pre-Mining /Mining-Plan Map) for reclamation use. <br />D. Thickness of Deposit; <br />The deposit to be mined varies from 6 to 25 ft in depth. <br />E. Major Components of Operation; <br />The only major component of the operation is the pit. No structures are contemplated. <br />Processing equipment utilized in the pit will be portable. The access road is existing and will <br />remain after mining. <br />F. Dimensions of Significant Disturbances; <br />The total impacted land surface will be 9.7 ac.. No Impoundments or waste disposal areas are <br />anticipated. <br />G. Roadways; <br />The existing access road is required to be left for the landowners use. The access road is <br />approximately 2,000 ft from County Road 1250 to the pit boundary. It crosses adjacent property <br />by deeded, unrestricted, 60ft easement (copy attached). <br />H. Water Usage and Source; <br />Water used onsite will be imported from offsite, by purchase or agreement from Uncompahgre <br />Valley Water Users Association (UVWA). <br />
