EXHIBIT B -SITE DESCRIPTION <br />(a) The site lies on plains gently sloping (5%) to the south. The soils are sandy <br />plains. The gravel deposit to be mined is alluvial containing sand with cobbles and <br />boulders up to 12 inches in diameter. Vegitation is sparce, mostly grasses and forbs. A <br />detailed description of the soils and vegitation can be found in the Soil Conservation <br />Service report which is part ofExhibit D -Reclamation P-an. <br />(b) There are no man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected area. <br />( c) The mining site lies approximately 2000 feet north of the Purgatorie River. That <br />river will not receive drainage directly from the affected area. The two existing stock <br />ponds (presently dry) near the mining area will not be disturbed. See Mining Plan - <br />Exhibit C. <br />
