EXHIBIT B -SITE DESCRIPTION
(a) The site lies on plains gently sloping (5%) to the south. The soils are sandy
plains. The gravel deposit to be mined is alluvial containing sand with cobbles and
boulders up to 12 inches in diameter. Vegitation is sparce, mostly grasses and forbs. A
detailed description of the soils and vegitation can be found in the Soil Conservation
Service report which is part ofExhibit D -Reclamation P-an.
(b) There are no man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected area.
( c) The mining site lies approximately 2000 feet north of the Purgatorie River. That
river will not receive drainage directly from the affected area. The two existing stock
ponds (presently dry) near the mining area will not be disturbed. See Mining Plan -
Exhibit C.
