Russell, Russell Gravel Pit, OM-94-096
Dear Mr. Mount:
This project hoe been reviewed and the site has been visited.
Negative impacts should be rather minimal, as this pit hoe been mined for sometime,
mostly by merely excavating a relative small area with high walla. It ie Located
adjacent to the I-25 service road on one side and in a cultivated dry land farming
field on the remaining three aides.
There were no reclamation plane available to this office, only the statement that
the reclamation would be to return it to cropland. To do this would either require
a considerable amount of fill or rather extensive grading and eloping that would
extend well into the cultivated area. However, the earlier statement of minor
impact ie still applicable, regardless of how it ie accomplished.
Don Bogart
Environment 1 Biologist
cc: Move
Wagner
Kinney
File

REFER TO `~lAR~ _O
O~~
Northeast Region h\~\77r/~077Fr/~
317 Weet Prospect
Fort Collins, CO 80526 ForWldlife-
Far People
December 7, 1994
~ECF~t~Fp
DES ~ 2 19~
Division Dt Mn7erafg ~ ~eD Dg ,
Si cerely,
department OF NATURAL RESOURCES, James S.
