A species <br />diversity standard was delineated and is as follows: "The <br />reclaimed vegetation surface shall include at least three <br />herbaceous species with relative cover equal to or greater <br />than 3%, two of which are cool season grasses, and one forb. <br />The combined relative cover of these species should not exceed <br />80%, and no one species should comprise greater than 60%." <br />Sample results. <br />Cover (Table 1). <br />• <br />Total vegetative cover at the combined Bear Mines sites 1 <br />and 2 was sampled at 38.9 %. Of that amount, perennial, <br />non-noxious plant species contributed 37.7 % absolute cover <br />(96.9 % of the total vegetative cover).
