• INTRODUCTION <br />The Bear Number 1 and 2 Mine sites (Permit Application <br />C-81-033) were visited twice (August 6 - August 9 and August <br />31 - September 1 of 1991) and sampled in anticipation of final <br />bond release in 1992. The mine sites were reclaimed in 1982. <br />Herbaceous cover and herbaceous production were determined for <br />the contiguous sites. No woody plant density success standard <br />applies. The reclaimed mine surfaces are located within <br />Section 9, T 13 S, R 90 W, 6th P.M. All sampling was carried <br />out by Matthew S. Hayes. <br />• Data was collected to determine if, in the ninth year of <br />the ten year reclamation bond period, the reclaimed community <br />presently satisfies reclamation success requirements. <br />Reclamation standards for herbaceous cover, herbaceous <br />production, and species diversity have been established as the <br />criteria that will be used to determine success.
