HAUL ROAD CERTIFICATION
ricClane Canyon Mine Road
This document is being prepared at the request of the Colorado Mined
Land Reclamation Division and in compliance with Section 4.03.1 of
the regulations of the Division. Certfication of the design and
construction of the existing access/haul road is not possible
because the road was constructed prior to the enactment of
regulations requiring that the design and construction of haul roads
be certified by a registered engineer. The actual construction of
the road took place during 1977 was not under the supervision of
a registered engineer and in some details deviates from design and
construction criteria contained in the regulations. These
deviations were minor and have had no effect upon the stability of
the road or the effect of the road on the hydrologic balance of the
area during the eleven year life of the road.
• I, John M. Walters, Chief Engineer for Salt Creek Mining Company and
a registered engineer in the State of Colorado, Certify that to the
best of my knowledge, the preceding facts accurately depict the
history of road construction at the McClane Canyon Mine .
