The ponds were all constructed on 1968 reclamation in <br />Derringer Pit. The total number of ponds constructed and checked in <br />1988 is 22. <br />All ponds meet the criteria for the State l.'ater Engineer and also meet <br />the minimum criteria for Soil Conservation Service ponds. All spillways <br />(all associated with side slope water harvesting diversion ditches), <br />side slope,top widths and free boards are within acceptable criteria. <br />I recommend that the ponds be approved by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Divi ion. ~/ <br />:i~r,J . , <br />ldilliam Lee Nill <br />District Conservationist <br />•o <br />
