Critical areas <br />within each pit will be dealt with specifically <br />for erosion control. Any large boulders will <br />be backfilled at the toes of the sloped area. <br />SYe have discussed with SCS personnel, seed <br />varieties with the greatest potential for pro- <br />longed life given. i4e will straw mulch those <br />areas critical because of inadea_uate amounts <br />of topsoil. <br />Access Roads - Reclamation of the access roads will be <br />handled the same as the reclamation of the <br />mined area. R'hen reclamation begins, access <br />roads, stockpile areas and mined areas will <br />be reclaimed at one time. <br />Grazing - At the present time all pits are fenced for <br />security purposes and control of livestock <br />while gravel operations are in progress. <br />Fencing will remain for security of the re- <br />vegetated process and land owners will be <br />encouraged to allow adequate time for re- <br />vegetation to become established. <br />
