10) Please supply a typical drawing of the fuel farm secondary containment structure. The drawing
should include the mil thickness of underlayment materials and berm construction.
11) It is noted that an asphalt plant will be in use on site. Please provide a plan for weekly clean up
of overspill material and designate an area for the temporary disposal of such materials. The
temporary site must be above the natural water line of the site.
12) Staff notes a heavy line on Map C-1 a that is not identified in the Legend. It appears to be the 100
year flood plain. Please clarify.
This review is preliminary as noted. Responses to the Division's questions may raise more issues that
need additional information to resolve. Without copies of the notices to adjacent landowners and proof
of publication staff cannot guarantee that the process has been done correctly. By Rule, if the notices
are done in error, the time frame for comments starts anew. Additionally, Division staff will be
conducting aPre-operational inspection on Apri15`h, 2007. During that inspection other issues maybe
noted that need to be addressed as well.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501,
telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
/ G~2
/~
G.
