Lorencim Canyon 1f/ne Contour Gus Culmrul Resources <br />• 5LA9563 <br />This isolated find is located on a gently sloping, south-facing, bench overlooking Jeff Canyon. <br />The isolated find consists of a piece of felsite shatter and a hand size cobble of brown quartzite <br />with a ground surface on one side. Isolated finds are considered not eligible for the NRHP. <br />5LA9565 <br />An isolated find located at the edge of an unnamed drainage that flows southward into Jeff <br />Canyon. The artifact is a brown quartzite cobble with a ground surface on one side and battering <br />on the end. Isolated finds are considered not eligible for the NRHP. <br />5LA9568 <br />This isolated find is located near the edge of asouth-facing bench overlooking Jeff Canyon. The <br />find consists of three pieces of felsite found in a two meter area in a small blow-out. The artifacts <br />are one unifacially worked flake, a secondary flake, and a tertiary flake. Isolated finds are <br />considered not eligible for the NRI-IP. <br />5LA9569 <br />This isolated find is located on a hillslope of aneast-facing bench overlooking Lorencito <br />• Canyon. The find is a vesicular basalt mono in two pieces. The mono is ground on both sides. <br />The two pieces do not refit but are likely to be from one artifact. Isolated finds are considered not <br />eligible for the NRHP. <br />5LA9574 <br />This isolated find is near the edge of awes[-facing bench overlooking Lorencito Canyon. The <br />artifact is in a cleared area neaz a large anthill. The artifact is a felsite primary flake with a <br />bifacially retouched edge. Isolated finds are considered not eligible for the NRHP. <br />5LA9575 <br />This isolated find is approximately 100 meters north of 5LA9574. It is on the same west-facing <br />bench but near the edge of an unnamed drainage that flows west into Lorencito Canyon. The find <br />consists of two felsite artifacts. The first is a biface fragment and the second is a tertiary flake. <br />Isolated finds are considered not eligible for the NRHP. <br />51A9576 <br />An isolated find located along the south edge of a bench near an unnamed drainage that flows <br />west into Lorencito Canyon. The above isolated find, ~LA9575, is on the south side of this <br />drainage and this isolated find is on the north edge. The artifact is a felsite flake with a bifacially <br />• worked edge.
