Vanvalkenburg Gravel Pit <br />Mining Method to be employed <br />Exhibit D <br />Mining Plan <br />A. Topsoil 6" to 12" thick will be removed and placed in a berm in the northwest side ofpit azea. <br />The topsoil will be placed over pit area and reseeded at the end of the job. <br />B. Overburden, which there is very little to none, will be stockpiled and replaced at the end of the <br />job, as will spoils. Spoils will be spread over the pit area and topsoil will be reapplied to total <br />area. <br />C. The thickness of the area to be mined is approximately 8' to 10' thick. The azea to be mined will <br />be approximately 36 acres. <br />D. The pernri[ area will be accessed from ranch access road, which will access Hwy 14. This access <br />will be used as an access road in and out of the pit. This haul road will remain for use after the pit <br />has been closed as access to the ranch. <br />E. This pit area is well above any ground water level. <br />F. Maximum area a[ any time shall not exceed 100,000yds. or an area of 1,000' X 350' X a depth of <br />9'. <br />G. Volume of topsoil excavated at a maximum disturbed period of time should not exceed 6,500 yds. <br />H. Volume of overburden excavated at a maximum disturbed period of time should not exceed 6,500 <br />yds. <br />I. All slopes after reclamation will not exceed 3:1. <br />~' <br />
