The lands upon which the subject water rights <br /> have historically been utilized are identified on the map <br /> attached as Exhibit A. Those lands are found in three <br />l primary properties, which are identified as follows: <br />1 Whistling Acres, Elk Meadows, and Delta Housing. The water <br /> rights have historically been used for irrigation of hay <br /> meadows and pasture grass. <br /> 26. The amount of irrigated acres served by the various <br /> ditches carrying the subject water rights was determined from <br /> aerial photographs, field inspection, and interviews with <br /> area ranchers. The Blaney-Griddle method was used to <br /> determine the consumptive use of hay and pasture grass in the <br /> Minnesota Creek Basin. <br /> 25. When augmentation is required under the methodology <br /> of the plan, Applicant shall forego diversion of one or more <br /> of its augmentation water rights. By so doing, it shall be <br /> entitled to augmentation credit for that quantity of water by <br /> which the historical use of its rights reduced the amount of <br />j water available to other users. Depending on both the <br />J augmentation right involved and the calling right involved, <br /> that credit may be for either the amount historically <br /> diverted under the augmentation right, or an amount <br /> equivalent to the historical consumptive use of the right. <br />• If the calling right historically received return flows from <br />~l -25- <br />
