PART 741 - FEDERAL LANDS PROGRAM - PERMITS <br />Section 741.11 General Obligations. <br />Existing operations of Energy Fuels at Energy Mines No. 1 and 2 <br />will comply with the Permanent Performance Standards in 30 CFR <br />` Subchapter K, on and after October 13, 1979. <br />In addition, due to the fact that Energy Fuels seeks modification <br />of its existing Federal mining plan in order to increase the <br />acreage to be mined, Energy Fuels is now submitting this applica- <br />tion, which constitutes a request for a permit from the Office o£ <br />Surface Mining under the Permanent Regulatory Program, as well as <br />approval for a major modification to Energy Fuels' existing Federal <br />mining plan. <br />Section 741.12 Relation of permit to mining plan. <br />The enclosed application for approval of a mining plan modification <br />• and issuance of a federal lands program permit under the permanent <br />regulatory program includes all the information required for a <br />permit by 30 CFR 741.13, as well a mining and operations plan <br />covering the presently-known life of the surface coal mining opera- <br />tion pursuant to the Mineral Leasing Act of 1920, as amended, and <br />30 CFR 211. This mining and operation plan is reflected in the <br />various plans as set forth in Part 780 of this application. <br />Section 741.13 Permit application. <br />Energy Fuels has been advised by Region V of the Office of Surface <br />Mining that there is no fee for this application. <br />Seven (7) copies of this application will be filed with the Director <br />for Region V of the Office of Surface Mining.
