NOTE: Following is a response to review comments received for the above
referenced application dated May 7, 2002. The numbering used for responses
matches the agency review comments for clarification.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
1. We understand a permit must be issued by the Colorado Division of
Minerals and Geology (DMG), formally known as Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board prior to commencement of mining operations.
However, the DMG will not issue the permit until they receive
documentation that that a CUP has been granted by the City of Grand
Junction. An extension to the decision date has been granted by the DMG
to allow us to coordinate any changes resulting from these review
comments that may affect the DMG permit. The new decision date
scheduled with the DMG is October 22, 2002
2. In addition to the required DMG permit discussed in No. 1 above, the
following permits are also pending approval by the appropriate agency:
ground water discharge permit; air pollution emission permit and a well
permit. The DMG requires a reclamation bond prior to issuance of their
permit. Once the other permits, along with the reclamation bond, have
been approved by the governing agency, a copy will be provide to the
City.
3. A signed up-dated Planning Clearance Form and new Development
Improvements Agreement is attached.
4. Following are responses to Central Grand Valley Sanitation District and
Grand Junction Drainage District:
