<br />EXHIBIT B - MINING PLAN (continued) <br />The ground water table is encountered at about four (4) feet be- <br />neath the surface throughout the project area. To lower this <br />water table sufficiently to permit sand and gravel extraction, <br />a stilling basin and electric pumping station will be establi- <br />shed at the Southeast corner of the project. Groundwater will <br />then be disposed of by pumping it into the adjacent Arthur <br />Ditch. Contractual arrangement has been made with the Arthur <br />Ditch Company to use its facilities, including Gill:inson drain, <br />for groundwater disposal. Request for an NPDES permit to dis- <br />charge this groundwater was filed with the Colorado Department <br />of Health, Water Quality Control Division, on 19 February 1980 <br />and is still in process at time of filing this application. <br />
