~~ <br />EXHIBIT E <br />RECLAMATION PLAN <br /> <br />Reclamation activities will commence during the second calendar <br />year of mining operzitions, and are expected to be finished about <br />one (1) year after extraction of sand and gravel has been comple- <br />ted. Annual reclam~ition phases, then, will generally follow ex- <br />cavation phases by one (1) year increments throughout the life of <br />the mine (see Minin€; Phase Sketch Plan, Exhibit B). Thus, topsoil <br />and overburden removed during Phase 1 extraction operations, sup- <br />plemented by overburden and topsoil removed during Phase 2, will <br />be utilized to reclaim the Phase 1 area during the second year of <br />mining operation; Phase 3 topsoil and overburden will be used to <br />reclaim Phase 2 area.; this process will generally be continued as <br />operations progress, with additional topsoil and/or subgrade mate- <br />rial if received for reclamation of Phases 6 and 7 being imported <br />to the site from sources outside the project area. <br />Reclamation of the mined area will convert the site from agricul- <br />tural use to a recreational area in accordance with the Reclamation <br />Sketch Plan which is a part of this Exhibit. Essential elements <br />of this plan involve construction of a lake, a picnic area, and a <br />surfaced parking area and access foot trail; remainder of the area <br />will be graded and seeded to provide a suitable vegetative surface <br />f the intended purpose. <br />The parking area will be 50 feet in width by 150 <br />and divided so as to provide parking facilities <br />passenger type vehicles at one time plus turning <br />for vehicles entering and leaving the site.
