1985 HART SYNCLINE FEDERAL COAL EXPLORATION
LICENSE C-40288

ABANDONMENT REPORT
The following report is submitted in compliance with Federal Coal
Exploration License C-40288 granted to Getty Coal Company for the
purpose of conducting coal exploration activities on Hart
Syncline near Craig, Colorado. This report describes the dri21
hole abandonment, hydrologic monitor well completion, and the
reclamation status of all the disturbed areas as a result of the
1985 exploration activities under the Federal Coal Exploration
License C-40288.
The information contained within the abandonment report is of a
confidential nature and should therefore be exempt from public
release or disclosure. Release or disclosure of this information
would jeopardize the competitive rights of (Getty Coal Company)
Cyprus Coal Company (and its FCEL partners) obtained under
Federal Coal Exploration License C-40288.
Item B of the exploration license states that: An abandonment
report must be submitted after the drill holes have been properly
conditioned for abandonment or converted to monitoring wells.
