The uses permitted shall be the extration of sand and gravel as described in <br />Hokestra Sand and Gravel Mining Opera tion, Weld County, Colorado by Western <br />Technical Services, Inc. dated July 22, 1980 and the submitted application <br />materials. Said docrmrent is on file with the weld County Departrnent of Planning <br />Services. In addition all uses permitted by right in the Agricultural Zone <br />District of the Weld County Zoning Resolution shall be allowed. <br />2. No excavation or processing of sand and gravel shall be permitted nearer than <br />10 feet to the boundary of adjacent property, easement, or 50 feet from any <br />irrigation ditch or right~f-way, nor nearer than 125 feet to any existing <br />residence unless by written agreement the caner or vaners of such adjacent <br />property consent to a lesser distance and the Planr,;ng Crnmission approves <br />a lesser distance. <br />3. All sand and gravel operations shall be conducted during the hours of daylight <br />except in the case of public and private emergency, or to crake necessary re- <br />pairs to equipment. This restriction shall not apply to operation of admin- <br />istrative and executive offices or repair facilities located on the property. <br />4. The Special Use Permit area shall be maintained in such a manner so as to <br />prevent soil erosion, fugitive dust and graath of noxious weeds. The site <br />shall be maintained in such a manner as to present a neat and well kept <br />appearance. <br />5. Existing trees and ground cover along public mad frontage and drainage ways <br />shall be preserved, maintained, and supplemented if necessary, to reduce <br />noise, dust, and erosion. <br />6. Insofar as practicable, all means of access to the property from any street <br />shall be located and designed as to avoid the routing of vehicles to and <br />fran the property over streets that primarily serve residential development. <br />7. ^he County shall provide suitable dust control treatment on the mining site <br />C during excavation aryl on unpaved routes during periods of hauling operations. <br />Suitable treatments may include but are not limite3 to the following: liquid <br />asphalt, used crank case oil, chemical suppresants, wetting, vehicle speed <br />control. <br />8. <br />1~ 9. <br />}~~c ~~~ <br />1 1 (Z~ <br />Insurance -The operator shall furnish evidence he is insured to the extent <br />of rot:less than $100,000.00 against liability for any negligent act or <br />omission by the operator fran the operation or maintenance of the sand and <br />gravel pit aryl the extraction and production of Barr] and gravel pit and all <br />activities connected with or incidental thereto. <br />All phases of the sand arri gravel operation shall comply with all applicable <br />County, State aryl Federal Health Starxlards and Regulations pP*-+a;n;nq to air <br />quality, water quality, noise emission and sanitary disposal systems. <br />10. ;'No diking or berming shall be allaaed on the Special Use Permit area which <br />C.` A' <br />would cause damage to adjacent properties or ditch right-of-way by altering <br />the historic drainage pattern. <br />~~ ~ ~~ <br />(~ G~ ry c ~ -~~ ~ b <br />
