The ditch does not
extend beyond the pit. The ditch and water rights previously used
for irrigation are currently owned by the applicant; and since there
are no downstream water users, destruction of the ditch in the pit
area will not harm anyone.
IMPACTS AND RECLAMATION
Ground Water
Sand and gravel will be mined after dewatering. A study was
made of ground water flow in the vicinity in order to evaluate
the effect of dewatering.
Wel I Inventory
The well inventory was made in January 1977. All wells near
the pit are shown on the Well Location Map. Afield invest-
igation was made at each well.
1
The wells are all relatively deep when compared to the depth
of the proposed pit. Well depth varies from 6U' to over 140'.
None of the wells are used for irrigation. Domestic and stock
watering is the primary use.
