The vegetation is characterized as western grasses with regions of
pinyon and juniper pine woodlands with understory of western grasses and
shrubs. Grass species include western wheatgrass, blue grama,
needleandthread and blue stem. Understory species include Scribner
' neediegrass, western wheatgrass, blue grama, sideoates grama, Gambel oak
and montainmahogany.
Provided in Appendix D is a 1991 database search response from the
Colorado Historical Society. The search resulted in no sites of
archeological or historic significance.
S. Exploration Activity
The exploration drilling map in Appendix A contains the proposed
locations and access trails. Northfield intends to drill one spot core hole in
three (3) locations as indicated by NF-01, NF-02 and NF-03. The following
chart provides a general legal description, projected depth, access trail

Exploration and reclamation activities will be performed by Pronghorn
Geologic Services of Gillette, Wyoming. Glenn Miller is the principal contact
for this project.
Northfield wishes to commence exploration in March of 2005 with
completion no later than September 30, 2005. Reclamation will occur
concurrently with exploration. All exploration and reclamation activities will
be completed by December 31, 2006.
Access to the proposed exploration locations are delineated on the
map in Appendix A. Access will occur along existing roads, paths and dry
wash beds. Northfield does not anticipate the need to construct temporary
access trail other than minor disturbances consisting of trimming vegetation
for equipment maneuvering both into the location and during exploration
