Minin¢ Plan Exhibit C (revised)
will be sold. The material excavated from this site will not be processed. No major stock piles of
excavated construction material will be needed on site because the material will be excavated on
an as needed basis. Mining activity will vary from month to month depending on the amount of
material needed.
The estimated start date, based on approval of all necessary permits, is October, 2006. The
estimated finish date, based on current and future operations projections, is October, 2021. The
mine will operate year round with periods of inactivity when adverse weather conditions exist.
There may be periods when no activity takes place on the mine because there is no demand for
material. No estimate is available for how long these periods of inactivity will be, but may last 6
months or more.
Mining will be done by using a dozer to push material down the mine face into piles. It will then
be loaded into dump trucks by a front end loader. On site equipment may include, but is not
limited to, a motor grader, front end loader, motor scrapers, a dozer, dump trucks, a water truck
and a track hoe.
The operations on this site will not require water, excepting dust control. Dalbo Services, Inc.
has been contracted by Chevron to provide dust control. Approximately 260 barrels (bbl) per
day will be needed to control dust during regulaz facility operation. Dalbo controls the water
lease contracts pertaining to this site and other activities in the area.
This site has been designed to protect surface waters and groundwater. A diversion ditch will be
installed up gradient of the proposed mining activities to divert surface run-on during a storm
event. A temporary water impoundment, measuring approximately 30 feet by 30 feet, will be
installed down gradient of the activity azea to divert surface run-off from leaving the site. Per the
request of the Division of Water Resources, water will be released to the stream within 72 hours
of impoundment. Upon reclamation of the site, a second diversion ditch will be placed along the
base of the high wall to prevent water from running on to the flat pad surface. The access road
bordering the west boundary of the site has a bar ditch in place to divert surface run-on and run-
off. This site will be managed according to the Stormwater Management Plan that has been
created specifically for this site.
NORTH CLEAR CREEK CONSTR[i CIION MATERt At G 1VSINE CORDILLERAN COMRLIANCE SERVICES, INC
E05574 PAGE 11 GRAND JLRVCTION, COLORADO
